Armstrong Pame ’s indomitable determination spearheaded the construction of a 100-km road without the government’s help. The 28-year old IAS officer from the Northeast has brought happiness to the people of Tousem by giving them what they wanted the most – a motorable road which connects them to the world. The opening of the People’s Road has earned him the nickname The Miracle Man.
Born in 1984, Pame attended a town institution in Tamenglong, Manipur until class 10 and transferred to St. Edmund’s College where he finished his class 12 studies. In 2005, he finished a degree in Physics from St. Stephen’s College. Pame started to realize another dream of his – to become an IAS officer.
